Leaping Celebration!

1.  For over a month, I looked forward to Leap Day as a day that I could do anything I want!

2.  Oh my!  What a revolutionary idea, and it made my heart sing in anticipation.

3.  I even had a little pre-Leap Day fun the day before to get warmed up for this momentous day,  with unexpected synchronicities and little happy events.

4.  Bright and early on this magic day, I got to go over to my grandsons house (6 and 8), and help get them ready for school and then transport them.   Andrew and Nate, you are a celebration to me just by your very existence.

5.  Off to a wonderful new health foods grocery store, Earth Fare, where they have a bright and friendly cafe, with free WiFi — delightful.

6.  Setting up my “office” in outside locations is a new amusement for me, and I swear to you that the next person to come into that cafe looked just like Salvador Dali — same wild mustache and all!  Hooray!  He was my office companion even though he was two booths away.

7.  “Suffer?  Dali never suffer.  I am all time enjoy.” — Salvador Dali

8.  There were so many fun and interesting drinks to chose from — I had a “Wonder Drink”, green tea and lemon.  I just knew if I drank it, I would be filled with wonder, and I was.  Much better than those energy drinks that scare me.

9.  Had a meeting with a remarkable woman, who is coordinating all kinds of amazing services and kindnesses for people dealing with eating disorders.  Soon I will be presenting to one of their groups on fun and creativity as healing and energizing forces.  Yippee!

10.  Watching the DVR of American Idol — just fascinated with that show and the incredible perseverance and talent in people so young and brave.

11.  “Prosperous Heart” group meeting where the participants flabbergasted me with an enormous act of kindness — stepping in to cover a deficit I hadn’t known about.  It was a roomful of “Generous Hearts”!

12.  Over to Books-A-Million for a Barbara Kingsolver treasure — don’t read much fiction, but when I do, I demand excellence (usually – lol) and Barbara Kingsolver always delivers.

13.  At 10:10 p.m., some dear friends and I saw “Iron Lady” with Meryl Streep.  She should have gotten three Oscars for that performance!

14.  Leap Day for me — a day of love, miracles, abundance, generosity, and kindness!  And Leap Year — as my friend Holly says, 2012 has the potential to be an astonishing year for all of us.

I exist in utter gratitude.  Thank you to God, the Universe, and the phenomenal people in my life.

  1. Good Morning, Carol! Great energetic celebrations you enjoyed! I’m breathless! Thank you for sharing with us! Love, Jean

  2. Carol, I love you! All your color and excitement!!!

Driving home after the PH workshop I got all excited over the beautiful lightening that was putting on such a display and wanted to enjoy it. So I went home and put on my jammies and robe and took the dog for a walk! It was so warm out and I really enjoyed the walk and the lightening. I love how I always feel like I have ‘permission’ to do silly things after being with you. lol.
    Glad you enjoyed the movie!
    Love Diane

  3. “I am all time enjoy” your list! What a rich and full day you had! ~~~it was just one 24-hour day and not one of those 6-month Alaska “days”? could have been either from all you did!
