- Not hitting or terrifying the skunk on the freeway last night, phew!
- Finally learning how to turn on my high-beam headlights. I’ve had my car for two years
- People who politely turn down their lights as you approach
- Making a bold move. Because there is no time like the present. Phew again!
- A roadtrip with my step-dad. We only went to the doctor but it was quite a hilarious and fun adventure! I tried to convince him to stop at “Grandpa’s Cheesebarn”, that didn’t fly. Then tried to convince him to go to “Parsley Pot”. But they’re closed on Mondays
- Listening to a couple laughing as they try to figure out how to spell their prescription names “No it has two x’s, no three..”
- Listening to another couple speaking combination English/Pennsylvania Dutch “[Dutch…] and Grandpa [back to Dutch]”
- Witnessing something truly romantic
- This week one of my customers shared photos of her son with special needs graduating. She took such pride in all he has accomplished, so loving.
- Anticipation of all that is yet to be
Wishing you joyful drive toward what makes your engine purr
Oh, Grandpa’s Cheese Barn and The Parsley Pot! Both names caught my attention on our ride the other day, but we didn’t get to stop, either! I was definitely more drawn to The Parsley Pot than to Grandpa’s Cheese Barn, though. Lol
According to the locals The Parsley Pot is cool and Grandpa’s Cheesebarn is a tourist trap. I told Dave if I drive him to his follow-up appointment in a few weeks we’re going to both. haha
I love this! Very Kylia! I love the Pennsylvania Dutch item. Only people who live in Amish country will understand it, but I grew up hearing long conversations just like that one line. If you can’t think of the Pennsylvania Dutch word, just throw an English one in.
I’m so glad that you were there to drive Big Dave home! I knew it would be hilarious! :D
Love you!
Grandpa’s Cheese Barn is great especially for homemade soups, but I am thinking that Sweetie’s is even better. They have buckeye fudge, and malted milk balls that are double dipped in chocolate. It may be a tourist trap, but I am glad I am a tourist! ha ha ha!
