Driving wheel

1. God

2. Something I take for granted every day is the privilege of driving a car

3. A car that runs well and uses gas efficiently, with good climate control

4. A car that I can rely upon to get to and from and work and go where I want, or need to as circumstances warrant

5. Roads that are well maintained for the most part

6. Drivers that are on the whole courteous and respectful and obey traffic laws (although where I live, the yield sign is regarded by many as optional)

7. And it gives me a chance to practice awareness of others, anticipate people crossing the street, giving space in crowded streets so that others might have a chance

8. It’s possible to learn better driving skills at no matter what age, I’ve discovered

9. Amazing these complicated machines that mock distances

10. I admire people who know how to fix and maintain them, not one of my skill areas

11. Supposedly Henry Ford said if “I gave people what they wanted, I’d have given them a faster horse.”  Somewhere an intersection between listening to what the customer wants and knowing and anticipating what the customer needs

12. drive, look out where yr going

  1. I love the poem, Garrett! So much fun to read! Finding a good mechanic is a gift. I admire them, also, for being able to fix and maintain our vehicles.
