A day off

A day off means I’m working for myself as I have to clean, run errands and get organized. A day off can be lazy or productive. It’s a rare occurence  but have had a few in a row this week.

I’m grateful for a car to get me places.

Money enough to pay for what I need

A house to keep out the cold.

The Internet which entertains and informs.

TV which has taped things to watch. I DVR because I don’t like commercials.

The chance to curl up with a book

The flexibility of my schedule to decide when I want to do things if at all.

Food in the house. Recipes in my head. Perhaps I’ll be creative, maybe not. It’s all up to me to decide.

Tomorrow I’ll go back to a schedule but today is a day off.

  1. Mary Ellen,
don’t you love taking a day off to go at your own pace, do what YOU want to do. It is good for the soul. Warm house is a good thing on a day like today. I see the heating trucks around my neighborhood so others aren’t as fortunate.
