Birthdays

Hubby has had 72 birthdays. He is easy to please. He said the license plates were his present. He didn’t even want cake!

I made lasagna. Grateful for gluten free noodles. Back in the day my family ate pans now we are full with leftovers.

Greetings  from ME to him on Facebook. I picture many from across US sending him a wish.

I’m a Scorpio too! My birthday is in a week. My present to myself is not to have to sing the hymn with the choir.

To fall asleep I’m going to think back on different birthdays. Should be an interesting trip down memory lane.

My Senses

Eyes that see. Grateful to be able to see color

The miracle that let’s me see words and read and sometimes feel what the character is feeling.

Tasting something. At one point in my life only had my bottle then added things too numerous to list.

Now I know what I like and what I don’t. Still new things to try.

Hearing has faded but I still treasure the memory of voices. Music it does more than enter my ears.

Touch. It’s chilly add a layer. I’m cold Snuggle up. So many warnings and wonders. Light touches and hug!

Smell. Sometimes it makes me sneeze and I’m glad for a tissue. I can look at food and appreciate its succulence. I remember the wonderful smells in the past.

The sixth sense. Empathy and knowing a little extra to be aware.

All this makes me perceive the world and be more grateful.

We Two

Close to Hubby’s birthday so will post about my gratitude for him.

Me and you. We make two! Separate and free to be ourselves.

He’s been sick so have noticed the things he does that aren’t getting done.

Snuggles and back rubs. Warm fuzzy bear. Polar bear loves grizzly bear.

He never complains about my cooking just fixes a hot dog.

He knows how to do dishes and laundry. And he does them.

I am a busy person. He is a homebody but we respect each other.

Never criticizes my need for a nap or reading way into the night.

Happy Birthday ( in a day or two) Can’t imagine life without you!

November 1st

Yesterday, I had a thought-provoking conversation with a dear friend about different perspectives and how our lives can change in challenging situations. I am incredibly grateful to have such people in my life who not only support me but also challenge my thoughts and help me make better decisions. Their presence enriches my life and encourages personal growth.

I’m filled with gratitude for the incredible journey I embarked on while watching my latest TV series. I am thankful for the talented screenwriters who fearlessly share their truths through their storytelling. Their willingness to express themselves authentically inspires me and reminds me that genuine voices can make a lasting impact. I appreciate the existence of righteous individuals whose thoughts and beliefs are captured on camera, allowing their stories to resonate with audiences like me.

Blue House Gratitudes

Grateful to our blue house

So cozy and full of books!

I also have a roommate – my fun and wonderful husband Tom!

Our kitchen is bright and playful

Our living room looks like a Grandma lives here (that would be me)

The decorating theme is cheerful.

Our yard is a double lot and is my gardening playground!

We have been in our house over 50 years!

Hooray for 628 – our wonderful blue house with dark gray shutters!

Attitudes Of Gratitude (Big Blue Abode)

Hurray! It’s November ! The Grateful month!

Time to say goodbye to the shadows and uncertainties of the past and welcome the new month and its attitude of gratitude.

Grateful for my house . Not just the protection from the cold but the warmth that makes it a home.

Warm meals. Sometimes home cooked, sometimes simple but always eaten together.

Eating out used used to be routine but now a treat. Things come full circle as we budget. But we have a plan!

Forgiving my house for what it is not and cherishing it for what it is.

Watching the snow melt and heeding the warning that Winter will  win but not today!

Cleaning up after being sick. I’m making progress!

My nest to rest on this floor. Nice not to have to trudge upstairs.

Grateful to my blue house. May I not be blue today!
