Gratitude for the people we share the day with

The people we share the day with carry our lessons within their words and actions. Let’s be vigilant in our attempts to listen.

We have so much to learn, and that’s why we’re here. Our lives have purpose, even though we might fail to grasp it. Remembering that God is trying to reach us in even the most mundane of circumstances keeps us attentive to everyone in our lives. Our attention to others triggers their lessons too.

The cycle is never-ending. We are not here by accident – we are here by design. The role addiction plays in our lives is part of the design. We can learn our lessons and fulfill our purpose only by acknowledging the spirit, the presence of God, within each person God has ushered to us.

Today’s Gratitude journal

Today I am grateful for taking the day off to go to the hospital in order to make my monthly checks for white blood cells. I am although Grateful for my morning routines including drinking water, washing my teeth, and doing some free weight exercises, and some days just stretching. Lastly, I am grateful for a couple of things that is going to happen, like seeing a dear friend, and exercising at night, also delicious meals will be eaten during the day and at the end of it.

In general I had these thoughts about the things that I have for granted. I pondered the fact that without electricity my life would be impossible, as I believe nothing of the modern or classic science inventions would have been invented. On the other hand, to be more specific and personal, a lot of our daily routine tasks wouldn’t have been done. For instance, cooking, using phones, or computers. Another way to look at it is that a lot of industrial applications which require machines interfering would have been existed. So, our lives owes so much to the existence of electricity.

Grateful for the feelings I felt yesterday and today, it was bad, and full of anger, jealousy, and self manipulation into egotistical delusions, but I felt a little better when I asked myself what would I have done if I was , simply, the other who caused me discomfort, and distress. The answer was kind of a reflective one. I saw that I was evil, and seeked envy and hatred, and, of course, what goes around comes around. Grateful that I can admit of all that shit inside me, actually it is a legitimate shit because I am a human, and still be going on my way of discovering myself. Grateful that I can acknowledge my weakness, egoistic manners in coping with others who have their weaknesses also.

Simple Pleasures

  1. Twins!  Happy 29th birthday to my friends Corrine and Meredith
  2. Shopping with my mom for new more professional work clothes.  They always say to dress for the job you want.  Please visualize a promotion with me!
  3. Watching the Indians with my parents while eating ice cream from Hartzlers Dairy
  4. Filling in at the store in Wooster to spend more time with my family.  So nice to only have a ten minute drive to their house after work instead of an hour
  5. Planning a party.  I love all of the details that go into making it special
  6. The book “14,000 Things To Be Happy About”.  A list of everything from new babies to rocking chairs. A nice reminder during challanging times
  7. Listening to my mom talk to her sister, Faun, on the phone.  They have such a great friendship
  8. Driving with my mom on errands
  9. Counting down to the Wayne Co Fair in 5 weeks, yippee!  That will be a GoodList by itself
  10. The fact that my mom has already outlived her doctors expectations.  So so so so grateful.  I hadn’t realized it until Dave nonchalantly mentioned it yesterday.  So many feelings

Wishing you joyful gratitude for each and every day. Thank you thank you thank you

♥ Happy 2013 ♥ 1-1-13 ♥

Happy Near Year!

One of my goals for 2013 is to make it back here to WLG at least 3 times a week – I’ve missed writing here for far too long. I have enjoyed reading many of your lists though – they helped me through many tough times so Thank You all!!

1) For going back to school and not only passing all 9 mods with A’s but for passing the national licensing exam and earning my Massage Therapy License!

2) For having had not only a wonderful Christmas with family, but a very pleasant New Year’s Eve/Day as well!

3) For planning fun surprises for my youngest who will be turning 6 in just 11 short days!

4) For not giving up on myself – I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (Ray) and Lupus (Lu) in October 2012. It’s not been easy (especially since I was still in school!) but I’m determined to let it change my life as little as possible.

5) As always – for books!! I missed leisure reading during school and I’m more than making up for it now!

You cannot always control what goes on outside. But you can always control what goes on inside. ~ Wayne Dyer
