Christmas Eve Snow

Very grateful for~

God’s extravagant gift to us

full-serve gas stations
warm banana bread
Hugs

getting excited, actually waking up early to see if it had snowed
Snow!
Big Flakes gently falling
It is the falling I am grateful for, not the sticking
The perseverance of those who will arrive despite the sticking

Winter came down to our home one night
Quietly pirouetting in on silvery-toed slippers of snow;
And we, we were children once again. ~ Bill Morgan, Jr.

  1. Just visited your website thanks to Garrett’s gratitude list — oh my, it’s just glorious! I loved the painted stone about grace and stole it for my quotes list (hope you don’t mind), listened to the “Christmas Canon” and had a jolly good time there. You do a wonderful job with that site, Helen. And I had to laugh out loud about being grateful for the snow falling, but not the sticking! Merry, merry! Happy, happy! Even though, the day has passed, I feel like I am still in the season — after all, it is the 12 days of Christmas, and they’re not over yet!
